ABOUT ME
Being a Veterinary Sonographer, I have always been in love with diagnostic imaging.

My passion for imaging sparked when I first started in the veterinary field as a vet assistant for a brilliant Radiologist at California Veterinary Specialists (CVS) in Carlsbad, CA. There, I learned CT, advanced Radiography, and of course, Ultrasound. With CVS being in the startup phase, I was able to pick up shifts and help out in Emergency & Oncology, where my interest in Veterinary Medicine grew. I worked graveyard ER for 6 years where on a nightly basis diagnostic imaging, especially ultrasound, showed its value in patient assessment and case direction.
Making my break back into daylight hours, I started working at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in 2013 where I taught Small Animal Ultrasound after the retirement of one the first and greatest veterinary sonographers, Tom Baker. There, I took over the responsibility of instructing the veterinary students during their clinical radiology rotation in small animal ultrasound and mentoring the Radiology residents throughout their four-year program. At Davis, I was extremely fortunate to work with and learn from some of the world's best Radiologists and Specialists in the field, along with help in training the next generation of veterinarians and Radiologists. After almost a decade of working at Davis, I left for private industry and worked briefly as a Small Animal Sonographer for SAGE Centers before a BioTech company called Butterfly found me.

At Butterfly, I was able to work with brilliant minds in an innovative medical device company, and I collaborated with multiple universities and medical groups to design ultrasound curriculums and training programs. There, I could see both on a national and international level the need and desire for veterinarians to gain further ultrasound training.

And that’s where I want to help.
I have had a career filled with amazing mentors who not only shared their knowledge with me but also provided me with an opportunity to grow and help others. Without that, I would never have been able to teach at one of the top universities and on the international stage.

I want to share my expertise with you to continue the amazing momentum of knowledge forwarding and help every practitioner build the confidence they need to make clinical decisions with the assistance of ultrasound.

Ultrasound is a great diagnostic tool, but it can also lead to confusion if you don’t invest the time to learn it well.
